A big announcement has been made by the government for the needy and home-based people for the building. Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana, the assistance received by the government has been increased by 70%. People in the urban areas are covered under this scheme for people who have a annual income of 1.5 million and the annual income of 1.20 lakh in rural areas. In the year 2014, under this scheme, 45,000 rupees were given housing assistance, after which the amount was made to 70 thousand rupees. Now this amount has now increased from 70 thousand to 1.20 lakh. This assistance will be provided to 20,000 families of the state. Thus, the tribes including SC-ST, OBC will get the benefit
In the last five years, housing assistance has been provided to 81,354 poor families at a cost of Rs 256 crore.
